Mesh Screen Wires

USAGE AREAS OF AND TECHICAL DETAILS OF 304 and 316 QUALITY MESH SCREEN WIRES

304 quality wires are also known as18-8. %18 shows the chrome, %8 shows nickel ratio. These wires start melting 1430 OC’, however they lose their function after 790 OC. 304 is the fundamental type of stainless steel. It provides oxide resistance up to 450 OC. Its mechanical resistance and frictional endurance is high. Application areas include chemistry, petro chemistry, food, kitchen, automotive and medical industry and also preferred for boiler and heat exchanger production. 315 quality wires contain 2% of extra molybdenum. This substance helps the wire to be extra resistant to salt, acid and sea water. These wires are also known as 18-10. 18% is the chrome, 10% is the nickel ratio. Its melting temperature is 1375 OC, however, using after 815 OC may cause malfunctioning. It provides high oxide resistance up to 650 OC. Its tearing and contraction resistance is high. The reason of its ability to endure higher tenperatures is the molybdenum it contains. Application areas include chemistry, petro chemistry, and paper industry, whereas it is mostly preferred under sea and industrial atmosphere conditions regarding its high corrosion resistance.
